HTC Fuze Car Charger

I was stuck in the middle of Nowhere, New York. I had left the phone's charger in my room about 45 minutes behind. A storm was coming in and I was running low on gas. The car would not go anywhere.

I had stocked up the car before I left. I had flares, snacks and a blanket. I had even remembered to pack an extra sweater. None of that mattered in the end. It was my HTC Fuze Car Charger that got me out of trouble.

I plugged it in using the lighter adapter that connects to the car's 12 volt DC cigarette lighter adapter and placed my 911 call. It kept the phone on the whole two hour wait for help as I talked to the 911 operator. It charged the phone quickly and I could use the charger and the phone at the same time. The rescuers were able to find me and take me somewhere safe before the 19 inches of blowing snow buried the car with me in it.

This charger never over heated even while I used it too. It knows to go into a "saver mode" when the phone battery is fully charged. This is a smart, low cost item. And to think that a replacement accessory had saved the day.
